Debashish Roy

Associate Professor and Head

Debashish Roy is working as an Associate Professor of Marketing in Department of Business Administration, Metropolitan University. He has a profound interest in discovering the insights of marketing arena. He carries a powerful observation skill and always tries monitor the practical implication of marketing theories in real life situations. Marketing is a passion for him rather than a profession. Debashish’s academic research focuses specially on consumer psychology. He attempts to gauge the inner psychological characteristics of consumer that reflect in their consumption behavior. He has numerous research works which have been published in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Throughout his professional career, he attained the opportunity to work with renowned researcher within the globe. Mr. Roy has participated and presented his research work at numerous of national and international research conferences. He also participated in a lavish number of research workshops and training programs. Debashish is currently a research fellow of Department of Business Administration at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Earlier he completed his graduation (BBA) and post-graduation (MBA) from Metropolitan University, Sylhet. He was awarded the Chancellor’s Gold medal for outstanding performance. Mr. Roy also received Dean’s silver medal and Chairman’s scholarship for his exceptional academic performance. Mr. Roy has a sensible motive to respond any social causes. He is involved in a Free Friday Learning camp where he helps poor students in learning English grammar at free of cost. He is also a member of the Rotary club and a regular blood donor.
