Salma Akther

Salma Akther, a native of Habiganj District in Bangladesh's Sylhet division, started her education at Mirpur Foyzunnessa High School, where she received the highest marks in the upazila in her SSC examination. She performed exceptionally well on her HSC examination at Sylhet Government Women's College. Salma's academic abilities were further demonstrated at her undergraduate class at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration. She achieved the esteemed rank of First Class Second in her cohort. Salma pursued her passion for Political Studies further, earning her Master's, securing the First Class First position in her class from the discipline of Political Studies of SUST. In 2016, Salma's academic journey reached new heights as she was awarded an MPhil degree from the University of Dhaka. She was appointed by North East University Bangladesh as an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Applied Sociology and Social Work, where she served until 2022. In 2023, she joined Metropolitan University as a Lecturer (GED) in the Computer Science and Engineering Department and is still employed there.
