Md. Amzad Hossain is a dynamic academic and researcher, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Metropolitan University, Sylhet. His career progression—from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer, and now Assistant Professor—reflects his commitment to academic excellence and professional growth. Mr. Hossain holds a Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) and a Master of Social Science (MSS) in Economics from Comilla University, Cumilla, Bangladesh. His solid academic foundation has supported his successful journey in higher education and research. With an impressive academic portfolio, Mr. Hossain has published three articles and presented six conference papers. Additionally, he has significant research experience, having contributed to numerous national and international projects as a Research Assistant (RA). His research interests span critical areas such as education, health, social inequalities, rural development, and climate change. In addition to his academic endeavors, Mr. Hossain is an active leader in the scouting community. He serves as the Rover Scout Leader of the Metropolitan University Rover Scout Group and holds the position of Joint Secretary of Sylhet Zilla Rover. These roles have allowed him to mentor youth, promote community service, and cultivate strong organizational and leadership skills. Mr. Hossain also has over five years of leadership experience in social organizations, equipping him with expertise in project planning, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, financial oversight, and program evaluation. His hands-on approach to implementing and monitoring development initiatives has positively impacted marginalized communities. Motivated by a passion for societal advancement, Mr. Hossain seeks to further his career with leading international research organizations as well as academic institutions. His unique blend of academic expertise, leadership experience, and commitment to social impact equips him to excel as a lead researcher addressing complex global challenges.
