Nawshad Ahmed Chowdhury

Nawshad Ahmed Chowdhury, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of EEE has born in Sylhet. He received the BSc. in EEE from East West University (EWU), Dhaka, in 2012 and enrolled in the MSc. in EECE in Military Institute of Science and Technology, Mirpur, Dhaka. He has completed his SSC and HSC form the Aided High School and M.C. College, respectively. In 2012, He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Metropolitan University, Sylhet as a Teaching Assistant. In the year 2013, he has become the Lecturer of the same department and became the Senior Lecturer in 2015. His current research interest is Nanosansor based on Nanoteansistor. At present, he is working on the development of bio-sensor compatible to detect bio molecules such as bacteria, fungus etcetera from water. In addition to his research in nanoelectronics, he also has his footsteps on different research areas like power, renewable energy system and communication as well. Beyond the academic duties he is also concomitant with different student welfare and development activities in the University. Simultaneously, he is the Member Secretary of Leadership Development Forum (LDF), Rovers Scout Leader of Metropolitan University of Rover Scout Group and Award Leader of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Bangladesh.
