Md Hasanur Rahman Sohag

Lecturer

Md Hasanur Rahman Sohag is a dedicated electrical and electronic engineer with a passion for electronics that began in his school years. He earned his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Metropolitan University, Sylhet. Currently, he serves as a Lecturer in the Department of EEE at Metropolitan University, Sylhet, since August 2023. His role allows him to share his knowledge and inspire students who share his passion for the subject. His career journey includes significant experience at Cybernetics Robo Limite, where he worked as a Hardware Engineer and Product Designer from September 2018 to July 2023. Mr. Sohag also worked as a part-time PCB and Mechanical Design Engineer at CRUX from May 2017 to December 2020. His responsibilities included research and development of innovative and educational products and kits, circuit and PCB design, mechanical 3D design and 3D printing, and served as an Electronics & Robotics Instructor. His skills span various technical areas including hardware, electronics, basic robotics and automation, microcontroller platforms, IoT technology, and mechanical and 3D design and 3D printing. Mr. Sohag is proficient in software tools such as Autodesk Fusion 360, Autocad, KiCad, EasyEDA, Proteus, MATLAB & Simulink, Arduino, Ultimaker Cura. He also possesses programming skills in C, C++, Arduino, MATLAB, Assembly, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap. His ongoing learning in CircuitPython demonstrates his commitment to staying current with emerging technologies.

Champion in Project Showcasing at Metropolitan University Tech Fest 2017. Organized by the Department of CSE on 16th and 17th November 2017. Champion in Soccer Robot Challenge at Intra MU Robofest 2019. Organized by MU Robotics Club on 4th December 2019. Author and contributor to the 1st Hardware piece (Ventilator) to get certified by Open-Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) in Bangladesh [BD000001].
