Ahmed Afif Rafsan
Ahmed Afif Rafsan joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Metropolitan University, Sylhet, Bangladesh, as a Lecturer in February 2024. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in November 2023. Upon graduation, in January 2024, Ahmed was appointed as a part-time Research Assistant on the project "Novel Design and Performance Analysis of Photonic Crystal Fiber Sensors for Medical and Chemical Applications" under the research grant of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on Photonics, Sensors, and Optics. He has currently centered his research on making significant advancements in medical and broadband applications.

1. A polished SPR-based PCF sensor with an ultra-wide refractive index and high amplitude sensitivity. Status: Preparing the manuscript for submission. 2. A PCF sensor with three Analyte detection capabilities with low confinement loss. Status: In Progress.
