Syed Nakib Sadi
Syed Nakib Sadi is an academic with a keen interest in language teaching, material design and curriculum development. He is a Cambridge CELTA certified English language trainer. He was awarded M.A. in Applied Linguistics and ELT in 2017 and B.A. (Hons.) from Department of English, University of Dhaka in 2016. He appeared for H.S.C from Notre Dame College and SSC from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School. He works with development organizations as a translator. He worked as a Consultant (Translation and Proofreading) with John Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, Bangladesh from 2019-2020. Previously, back in 2019, he used to teach at AUST as a part-time Lecturer. He contributed as a Faculty, English at Bdeducation prior to that for two years (an educational research company and a concern of United Trust) tasked with designing multimedia educational materials for primary and high school students. As a trainer, he facilitated multiple training sessions with organizations like Nuvista Pharma Limited, Unimart, Green Delta Insurance Company Limited etc. to name a few. He played a crucial role in designing course books titled ‘Intensive English I & II’ for United International University. He also worked with some reputed organizations such as A2i project supported by UNDP, ActionAid, Panjeree Publications Ltd., Gyaangriho Prokashoni (Nobodoot) etc. where he worked mostly as translator, proof reader and content developer.
