Gazi Saiful Hasan

Associate Professor (Study Leave)

Gazi Saiful Hasan is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Law and Justice, Metropolitan University, Sylhet. He started his teaching career at this University in 2010. Before joining this University, he was a practicing lawyer in Dhaka Judges’ Court. He completed Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2009. His areas of interest are: Environmental Law, Local Government, Intellectual Property Laws, and Clinical Legal Education. Hasan shared his research findings at the conferences held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh (2017), Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh, India (2013), Metropolitan University, Sylhet, Bangladesh (2012). He participated in many national training programmes and workshops on human rights law, environmental law, refugee law, and humanitarian law. Saiful Hasan has authored several articles on different socio-legal issues which have been published in national and international journals. He has also authored four books. He often writes in national and regional newspapers on various legal issues, and participates as a guest speaker in discussion programs on law in Bangladesh Betar, Sylhet. He is also a news reader (Bangla) of Bangladesh Betar, Sylhet.
