Associate Professor and Head

M. Z. Ashraful completed PhD (Legal Studies) at South Asian (SAARC) University, New Delhi. His PhD thesis title was “The Law on the Transnational Sales Contracts in Bangladesh – Need for Harmonization.” Earlier, he earned his second LLM (Legal Studies) from the same university after completing both his first LLM and LLB (Hons.) from Metropolitan University, Sylhet. Holding the position of Associate Professor (Department of Law & Justice) at Metropolitan University, he has presented many research papers in various international conferences. Mr. Ashraful is an accomplished researcher with numerous international publications. He has been trained by many prominent professors and researchers through the participation in a series of workshops and seminars held in many different parts of Asia. Ashraful’s research interest mainly revolves around International Law with special focus on “Conflict of Laws” and “International Commercial Law”.
