Md. Sher-E-Alam
Md. Sher-E-Alam is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law and Justice, Metropolitan University, Sylhet. He was born in Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh, in 1987. He received his LLB and LLM degrees from Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh, in 2008 and 2009 respectively. In 2013, he joined the Department of Law and Justice as a Lecturer and became Senior Lecturer in January 2015. Mr. Alam’s main fields of interest are contemporary Human Rights Issues, Laws of Inheritance, Access to Justice and Good Governance, International Migration and Refugee Law, Comparative Law, Law of Evidence, etc. He is the author of two peer-reviewed journal articles and his current research especially explores the Muslim Inheritance and Prerogative Mercy exercised by the Supreme Authority. Mr. Alam is an registered advocate of Bangladesh Bar Council and a member of Lalmonirhat District Bar Association, Bangladesh.
