Ms. Mitu Akther was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and had her early education in the Capital City of Bangladesh. After successful completion of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Banglabazar Govt. Girls’ High School in 2007 and BirsreshthaMunshiAbdurRauf Rifles College in 2009 respectively, she obtained the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from Northern University Bangladesh in 2015, and thereafter completed LLM in 2016 from the same institution securing the highest CGPA. She is willing to carry on higher studies abroad. Mitu Akther started her teaching career at an English Medium International School and later worked at a renowned corporate law firm in Dhaka for six months. Considering teaching as her passion through which she can contribute to the development of young minds, she has been teaching Law as a Assistant Professor at Metropolitan University, Sylhet since 26 January 2017.

Participant at the 2nd Winter School on “Genocide & Justice”, organized by Center for the Study of Genocide & Justice (CSGJ), Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh.
